Let's Chat : Self-Care as Community Care & The Importance of Connection

$15.00

What would we be without you, without me?

There are all types of relationships to explore in this life, but perhaps the most important is with yourself. How else can we show up for the people we love or allow others to show up for us when we need it the most?

Join us on Sunday April 28th 2pm-6pm to have a little chat about just that! In this preview of the third of four Treats. programming pillars, we are partnering with the incredible collective, Women of Color Therapy to open the floor for a safe and honest discussion about how and why we should care for self, the importance of ALL TYPES of connection and what we can do when we can’t see the harbor. Founder and Clinical Director of WOC Therapy, Tamika Lewis, LCSW will be joined by WOCT’s Cassandra Carter-Williams, AMFT and yours truly as we swim through the feelings (I feel so uncomfortable thinking/talking about myself), frustrations (self-care just feels like another *~obligation~*) and fears (It’s too scary to put myself out there) around prioritizing ourselves when we need to and prioritizing our connections to our fellow humans when we have the space.

THEN

We are so lucky to be invited to explore perhaps the most unique, heart-warming and just dope experiential locale in LA: The Los Angeles Museum of Love! We’ll have full access to this exclusive interactive experience for about an hour after our chat - the perfect way to keep the conversation and good feelings flowing. You’ll find fun prompts, games, music and the feeling of being transported to another world. Connection ecstasy if you will :)

So bring yourself, your homies, your boo and your mom to a Sunday afternoon you won’t forget. Ticket includes the experience, a mocktail, the Treats. digital workbook, priority booking for a consultation @ WOC Therapy (open to all) and 20% off your next visit to the LA Museum of Love. This one is special and limited so get your tickets today!
